Can’t get enough Super Bowl commercials?

You’re not alone. Results are in on the 2010 Hanon McKendry / MINDSCAPE at Hanon McKendry Super Bowl Poll conducted by Harris Interactive. We found that, among US adults who plan to watch the 2010 Super Bowl:

     • Over 57% will tune in AT LEAST as much for the commercials as for the game, up from 52% in
        2009.

     • Both men and women are tuning in to the ads, with 48% of male viewers and 67% of female
        viewers saying they watch equally or more for the commercials as for the game.

     • In fact, over 25% of Super Bowl viewers say they watch predominantly for the commercials,
       up from 2006, 2007, and 2008.

Once they see them, they want to see them again, and talk about them, and post them, and… well, you get the picture. Here’s what people told us:

     • Over 35% of those who watch Super Bowl commercials say they would be more likely to visit an
        advertiser's website after seeing a Super Bowl commercial, up from 30% in 2009.

     • Among online US adults who watch Super Bowl ads, 48% say they are at least
        somewhat likely to discuss a commercial they saw during the Super Bowl on a social
        media site.
